Weddings

Assuming a standard type of wedding Chitty would be brought down the night before the wedding day. On the morning of the wedding we would drive and check the route and then arrive in good time at the bride's father's house or wherever the pickup is. Thereafter we would drive you to the wedding and away again to the reception. Chitty will be available for photographs until your wedding party sits down for the wedding breakfast at which point she would leave.

The driver will be in Edwardian dress and there will be plenty of time for photographs. We will, if you wish, dress the car in white or cream ribbon and flowers to suit. If it rains, although we have umbrellas in all sorts of colours (white, cream, yellow, red and we also have white and cream parasols for the summer), passengers will get wet.  We can sometimes alleviate this by doing a short drive to the venue and try and find a place under cover for photographs. If the journey is a few miles the wind plays havoc with hair so you might want someone to look after the bride at the venue. We would need to check the route is not too long and that there are suitable places to park her as she weighs 2 tonnes and wet fields for example are not suitable.

Two people come with the car to look after her and the day for you. There are many variations on this example which we will work around if possible.

Chitty is fully insured for road use and we have public liability insurance up to 5m pounds. We do try and make her a special part of the wedding day.
